DONE WITH THE EXAMS... SO FAR
Written: 27 OCTOBER 2003

I had the last exam for a while today. Groundschool is also done now for everything up to Commercial Pilot Licence. Now I have a break for about a month before I start the Certificated Flight Instructor groundschool.

There's been alot of tests in the last couple of days in connection with the end of groundschool, but I haven't really been nervous about any of them.Though I know I will be when the checkrides come. That's when I have to preform.

I had as mentioned my last exam for a while today. The FAA Lasergrade Exam Commercial. This was the final exam which is given by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and is done in a computerroom here at school. The computer is linked to a central database which provides me with random questions from the questionbank. The exam today was the biggest so far with it's 100 questions. All of them are multiple choice, so it isn't all that hard, though they always manage to get you on a couple of trick questions.

From now on I'll basically just fly. I'll also be starting on the European curriculum to get that started (alot of books to read). I hope to get to fly more than I've done so far, but I don't know how it's going to be. I'm halfway to my instrument rating and I hope to do the checkride in about a month. After that awaits 50 hours of cross country instrument flying, which is basically just fun flying around the states around here. I hope to get these done by the time I go home for Christmas. Maybe a bit optimistic, but I will at least try.

Other than that I'm currently looking around to buy a car. Haven't found anything yet, but I'm looking as hard as I can. Insurrance here is expensive and there's a jungle of insurrance agents out there. I hope to post an article here soon with the headline: "Mikkels new car!".

A some what phony cheezy smile before an instrumentflight with Kristian in the backseat.
