WORK AND VACATION
Written: 18 OCTOBER 2004

The last couple of weeks has been mostly work and a bit of vacation. The hours have been building fast the last week and I rounded 860 hours yesterday after flying 41 hours last week. That's a new record for me, and involved between 12 and 14 hours of work every day! Next week looks busy as well.

The hurricanes have calmed down and the weather has improved considerably the last weeks. The last couple of days the morning temperature has been down to 16 C, and it hit me last night as I was flying a nightflight to Venice that I haven't been cold for about 9 months. I really enjoyed sitting there in the cold at 4500 feet.

I've had visitors from Norway the last two weeks, so it didn't work out too good the fact that this week was so busy. In the 2 weeks Thea and Tonje was here I had 4 days off, and 2 of those was my weekly day off!!

We spent one of my days off in Disney World in Orlando. 3 hours drive up, 10 hours in the park and 3 hours back was pretty exhausting, but fun. The rest of the days was spent relaxing.

We've also had Kristians family on a visit. His sister on her way around the world, and his parents who are still here in Naples.

It's Monday today, which means I've got the day off. In the beginning I thought I could use my day off for fun stuff, but as Anders told me when I started, that philosophy didn't really work. The day off is normally spend doing all the boring stuff I don't have time to do during the week!

The castle in DisneyWorld. The fireworks
was among the best I've seen. It is launched
5 days a week, so no wonder they need
alot of people for it to go around economically.

Main Street on our way home. Alot of people
there that day, even though it was a
Thursday outside the season.
