An era is over and I'm back home in Norway. The
time has flown by extremely fast over in the States,
and even though I knew it was going to go fast,
it feels like it was yesterday I got on the plane
back in July 03.
The last couple of weeks in Florida we mosty spent
relaxing, though due to the fact that there was
no more money rolling in on account it was probably
for the best that we went back home now. The flight
home was with Finnair via Helsinki, which many probably
not associate with the normal method to cross the
Atlantic, but it was definately a positive experience.
First of all it was amongst the cheapest tickets
available, and secondly we wanted to fly the MD-11
before it gets fased out. There was no line at the
check-in and the plane was only filled up 1/3, so
me and Kristian got each our 3 seater, in addition
to the fact that the legroom on the MD-11 is pretty
good. The flight from Helsinki made a short stop
in Stockholm on it's way to Oslo, so despite the
fact that the plane was close to full out of Helsinki,
only about 10 people were on the plane into Oslo.
This resulted in us getting our luggage immediately.
From take off Miami to landing Oslo it took us 12
1/2 hours which is a record for me.
Home in Norway there was not as much snow as I
had hoped for which was extremely disappointing.
Hopefully it'll come soon enough.
My plan now is to relax till over New Years and
the jump into the ATPL books fulltime. There's alot
of interesting stuff in there, but also a whole
lot of usless knowledge, so I'm prepared for alot
of hard work. Other than that I guess I have to
find myself a part time job, as the government is
still refusing to give me any kinds of scholarships
or loans.
