After about 2 1/2 years at flight school I have
now graduated as a commercial pilot with the exciting
task og getting a job ahead of me. It was a feeling
of relief when I taxied back in to Rørosfly
after todays flight and received a handshake and
congratulations from the examinor.
The last part at Røros took a little longer
than expected, but after 3 weeks (with a couple
of trips home) the program was done and the skill
test was passed. Now all that is left before I have
my European licences in my possession is the paperwork
at the CAA.
I am now going from a life of a part time full
time student, to being a full time unemployed pilot,
but hopefully the new year will bring employment
opportunities my way. The market is noticeable on
it's way upward, and even though there has been
talks about it for a while, I have a feeling the
airlines will open the gates soon enough. With a
little patience and some luck, I'll soon be in the
right seat of a commercial airplane.
The timing was good, as I now can enjoy the holidays
which is going to be spent in Denmark. I want to
wish everybody who has found their way to this site,
a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
