17 MAY FROM THE AIR
Written: 17 MAY 2005

As some of you may know, 17 May is the National Day here in Norway (which is kind of a big thing). Despite the not so nice weather this year, we were able to stick to our plan of flying over Oslo looking at the people. We startet at Kjeller around 1300, but because LN-NEZ first of all was in the back of the hangar, and we were sort of wearing clothes not suitable for preflight, it took us a while to get in the air. But we finally took off around 1430. We got 40 minutes in the air over Oslo and Asker, filming and taking pictures before we went back.

It's better to celebrate 17 May in the air
rather than under an umbrella on Karl Johan.

The Royal Castle

Aker Brygge (Harbour). Usually packed!

Overview of Karl Johan (Main Street) at around 1445.
Not as many people as usual on 17 May.

The University, The National Theatre and City Hall.

The Vigeland Park is the most beautiful sight in
Oslo from the air.
