Time for a little update with some pictures from
the life over here in Scotland. Not a whole lot
has happened the last couple of months, but I have
taken a couple of pictures.
First some pictures from a VFR flight between Benbecula
and Stornoway along the west coast of the Outer
Hebrides.
In August I had an interesting flight to Stornoway.
On our way from Benbecula we raced the fog, which
got half way down the runway before our arrival.
Here the fire and rescue guys at Stornoway uses
our plane in an excercise. We were told to send
a simulated mayday when we arrived from Benbecula.
We pretended to have smoke in the cockpit as we
taxied in.
In June I added Brisol Filton to my logbook. We
fly to Filton from Warton as a part of our BAe Systems
contract (BAe owns both airfields). This is one
of the longest commercial runways in the UK and
is the widest I've ever landed on.
The British built Concorde prototype (002 G-BSST)
had its first flight from Filton in April 69 (one
month after the French). All British built Concordes
had their maiden flights from Filton. The last ever
Concorde flight ended here in November 03 and is
still on display here (G-BOAF).
In September I flew a charter from Blackpool to
Dundee. We flew 5 couples going to a charity fundraiser
ball close to St. Andrews. One hour of work, 24
hours in Dundee and one more hour of work. Hard
life... Krisian was out testflying G-EIGG after
maintenance and came in to Dundee with a batterypack
for G-BTXG (which I flew).

And at last, some pretty pictures of clouds and
such...
