Cessna 152 - N6374M

This plane is the type I'm flying during the first period and is the smallest they have here. This one in the picture (N6374M) was the one I had my first flight in here at NAIA.

Cessna 152 - Cockpit.

As you can imagine from the picture, the cockpit in the C-152 is quite small. It is especially small when you are 6'2. My back is taking quite the beating when I'm out flying in this plane, cause the seats are pretty bad. But it gets me up in the air, so I'm not complaining.

Cessna 172 Skyhawk - N97459

This is a four seater and is the next step up from the 152. Bigger plane, bigger engine, more instruments, better preformance = more fun! I'll use this one for my instrument training.

Cessna 172 Skyhawk - Cockpit

The cockpit of the 172 has got quite a bit more space than the 152. If you compare it to the 152 you'll see that it's got some more instruments (2 OBS, 1 ADF) and an extra set of radios.

Cessna 172 RG Cutlass - N9741B

This version of the 172 has retractable gear. I'll be flying this one towards the end of my training here doing my commercial and CFI training.

Cessna 172 RG Cutlass - Cockpit

The instrument panel is close to the same as in the 172. Notice the 5 levers between the yokes compared to the 3 in the 172. The difference is the Gear Lever which raises and lower the gear and the prop control which controls the speed of the propeller.

Piper PA-44 Seminole - N2150C

This is the schools multiengine plane which I'll use to get my multi engine rating! An exciting airplane which offers more challenge when out flying. The number of instruments about doubles, so it'll be exciting to climb into one of these!

Piper PA-44 Seminole - Cockpit

The cockpit in the schools multiengine plane. The Seminoles are from 1979, so the instruments look fairy old. Notice that there's real levers to control the engines, compared to the hopeless push-things in the Cessna. This Seminole has got an HSI which makes instrument flying easier/more fun.

Beechcraft Super King Air 350

This plane arrived Conway 15 July 03 with the Governor of South Carolina. What he was doing here, I don't know, but on his way home he came over to us and said hello, probably to collect votes.

Cessna Citation Exel - N100SC

This beauty arrived 14 July 03. Wonderful to see it take off from rwy 22 and climb fast into the clouds.

Helicopter

This helicopter from the National Guard (or something like that) swung by on 17 July 03, and I got to take this cool picture.
